Seek and Ye Shall Find? Not Necessarily!

By Larry Brown.

Too many business opportunity seekers are just that...seekers.

They are always on the prowl...always searching and yearning for that one big break. Little do they realize that they have probably let several lucrative opportunities slip right through their fingers as a result of their endless quests.

Donít let this happen to you!

Do you want to know the real secret to finding that one big break? Become an opportunity 'doer', not an opportunity seeker.

Too many people find themselves in a vicious cycle of inaction because they just canít put down the classifieds. Once you find an opportunity that motivates, inspires and excites you, put the blinders on and get to work!

Here are three helpful tips that can help you go from inaction to 'in action':

1. Immerse yourself in the opportunity...slowly.

Typically, when people receive their materials, they try and blast their way through it so that they can get started right away. Like a procrastinator cramming for a test, they read the bullet points, pay close attention to the bold text, and ignore everything else in between.

Donít be in such a frenzied rush to get through the materials. They were put together for a reason...to teach you step-by-step how to succeed with the opportunity.

Youíll learn everything you need to know before you need to know it so take a few days to familiarize yourself with the information.

The more comfortable you are before starting, the smoother the ride will be.

2. Devote a set amount of time each day to building the business.

Procrastination can kill momentum so make sure you dedicate at least an hour or so each day to your new business. Whether you spend this time getting better acquainted with the opportunity, setting your goals, or actually putting the plan of action to work, make sure you make some kind of progress every day.

3. Ignore the classifieds and devote yourself to the opportunity that excited you so much in the first place.

Believe me, everything is going to look like the next great thing, thatís what marketing is all about!

So once you find an opportunity that is right for you and your personality, run with it! Ignore other temptations and commit yourself to making the most of the opportunity before you.

By making a commitment to yourself and to the opportunity you have chosen, you will absolutely set the stage for success. Action leads to progress, progress inspires motivation, and motivation is the driving force behind even more action.

Now this is the kind of cycle you want!
